Violent acts, which hit Yemen and intensified within last days, provoke its concerns on a country that skipped stages of push and pull between people and the regime in a democratic and consensus way that rescue Yemen from what is worst. However, this brotherly country is still suffering security vacuum reinforced by inability of the army for resolving battle with armed groups which have taken Abyan as stronghold for over a year.
As warnings continue that security vacuum in Yemen and escalation of violence between security troops and armed groups may lead to disturb or bother settlement process which the country is experiencing under slowdown and perhaps a state of rebellion in implementing decisions of President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi in terms of restructuring the army, specially under description of some to the process of transmission of power as not decisive, leaving gaps exploited by some groups to expand their activities.
Calls also continue to political decision makers to exert possible efforts to skip all barriers in this period which appears after a unique consensus that distinguished Yemen from others in the midst of this Arab Spring which the region has experienced and is still experiencing.
After this Yemeni consensus, which violent actions and some political and military differences occurred within the last period have not disturbed it, Yemenis' eyes keep on Conference of Friends of Yemen which will be held at the end of current May. The Conference needs hard work for its success through which financial and technical support will be determined allowing Yemenis to pass over this transitional stage and to treat urgent developmental and humanitarian needs, let alone mobilizing political support for the success of the GCC Initiative and its operational mechanism and support Yemen to overcome obstacles facing it.
All that asserts the need to complete all political process circles and decisions associated with it with intensified efforts to restore the prestige of the military institution and build it in a stronger and more cohesive way to make it able to support efforts of political leadership in facing terrorism and those who seek to undermine stability of Yemen without being separated from cohesive of brotherly Yemeni people in order to build new Yemen more powerful, prosperous and stable.
