The Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi stated that his country would not allow for "foreign decisions and solutions to be imposed on Syria," and that Iran's imitative is the only solution to the Syrian crisis.
"The initiative that was offered by Iran is the only solution to Syria's crisis, which we hope that will be settled on the basis of this initiative, in spite of the difficult circumstances," Salehi said in an interview with Fars News Agency (FNA).
Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour has received a copy of Tehran's initiative, at a meeting with Iran's ambassador to Lebanon Ghzanfar Abadi. The plan is based on stopping violence with dialogue is a main pillar to solve a crisis that left more than 45 thousand deaths.
Under the initiative, humanitarian aids would be provided for all the Syrian people without discrimination, political prisoners would be released and a committee would be established to evaluate damages and coordinate with donor states for the reconstruction of Syria.
"Smoke of the Syrian crisis will harm the eyes of Syrian people," the Iranian Minister stated. "Those who want to continue clashes should realize that, even if we suppose they could come to power, they would not be able to rule on a bath of blood."
"Iran believes that no solution can be offered for Syria outside the Iran's 6-point initiative," according to Salehi.
Political analysts say these statements come as part of the Iranian interference in the internal affairs of Syria, aiming at maintaining the alliance with Bahshar al-Assad.
